It's all a bit weird.. but this is for you.

This is a strange time isn't it.
5 years ago we couldn't have guessed that we'd me in the midst of a PANDEMIC. I wouldn't have had a clue that I'd be sat here writing these words. But here we are - It's all a bit weird isn't it.
I've used a lot of the time feeling anxious, in fact, I've used all of the time being anxious if Im honest. I have a partner and a teenage girl. We are doing okay. We are a dream team.. they've got my back and I've got theirs and I'm a lucky lady. I won't forget it.
Anyway - I came to the conclusion that, when in doubt, I draw, I make stuff, I keep my hands busy. These Humans I draw have increased in number - there were originally one or two and now there are literally hundreds spilling into every room - hiding in every nook and cranny. They've been keeping me happy and I want them to do the same for you.
The Humans are just themselves, they're not ashamed to wear their hearts on their sleeves, they'd tell you if they were anxious or if they had some news. They're happy, sad, jealous, snarky, angry, nervous, caring, kind, hilarious and daft... all of these things.. they don't notice gender or race or ability, they don't notice class or status, they're not perfect, they're hairy, they're stubbly, or smooth and wobbly.. it doesn't matter at the end of the day does it. They look how they look and that's the way it is, and they behave how they do because that's how they are feeling. I could learn a lot from them, just like I've learned a lot from lockdown.
This is my first blog post, and I'm not sure how many of you will even see this, but during lockdown The Humans are reaching out and it's my job to help them do it. Lets spread some positivity, lets learn a bit about ourselves - maybe not be so hard on ourselves at the same time
Yesterday I created a little poster image for people to share with their family, or with their mates... I'll attach it here somewhere and if you see it I'd love you to share it too. The rainbow has come to stand for all sorts of things, especially now. Please feel free to share the image with your loved ones - it might be just what they needed.
